Plastering
Our plastering work is always carried out to a high standard and a precise finish, allowing us to get the perfect outcome when decorating. Before plastering we always cover all flooring, windows, doors and furniture. We wrap all wall plug sockets as well as fixtures and fittings. We will also cover all floors that access the room thats being plastered for complete piece of mind. All we require from you is an accessible water tap.
Before any plastering is carried out, we do a full assessment to check for cracks, weaknesses and any movement which we can then repair.
We then cover all surfaces in a PVA blended mix which seals the surface and allows the plaster to adhere. This is followed with a 2 coat skim, a base and topcoat process. If the ceiling is Artex and has a detailed texture then we will use a 3 coat approach by applying a bonding coat prior to a base and topcoat.
We believe that plastering is like decorating a cake, we have absolute patience and the plaster tells us when its ready to be hand trowelled. You cannot rush plaster and you have to be considerate of the interior and exterior temperature and conditions. Once we are 100% happy with our finish we will leave it to dry for between 5-7 days, again the temperature in the property plays a big part in the drying time. We can also provide a dehumidifier and heater option to help move it along. Once fully dry we will cover all surfaces in a white paint blended mix mist coat which will seal the surface and help adhere the following coats on top.
